I was approached to design the 2015 Wellcome Book Prize Trophy. The idea behind the trophy was to literally capture a spark of imagination. I collaborated with Stonebridge Engineering who created a Lightening capture Block by injecting a piece of clear acrylic plastic with a bolt of electricity using a particle accelerator. The fracture lines caused by this process naturally create a design that resembles a brain neuron.
